In recent decades, the Dal Cero family has adeptly highlighted the potential of the RoncÖ area, currently recognized as Soave's new frontier. Vineyards sprawl across three ancient volcanoes, Calvarina, Corretta, and Duello, nestled amongst patches of woodlands in a less groomed, wilder landscape. The grapes ripen impeccably while preserving a pronounced acidity, a phenomenon that imbues the wines with vibrancy and longevity. Their work with Lessinia is also noteworthy thanks to a selection of exceptional sparkling wines. The Runcata '21 Soave expresses the wild and edgy character these volcanic soils impart to the grapes. Barrel aging has only added depth and complexity to its fruit; on the palate, the wine shoots like an arrow, salty and linear in its acidic progression, concluding long and compelling. The Cuvée Augusto, an aromatically complex sparkler, stands out for its energetic, juicy palate.
