The large winery in Susegana is set in a landscape of rare beauty, surrounded by hills where viticulture unfolds amidst patches of woodland, meadows and small olive groves. The vineyards extend over more than 150 hectares, 100 of which are dedicated entirely to glera, while the remaining plots see Bordeaux varieties and "incrocio Manzoni" grapes. In the perfectly restored historic cellars a superb range comes to life. A broad range of wines were submitted for tasting, both proseccos and still wines. Standouts include the Ponte Rosso 22, a Prosecco Superiore from a single, highly clayey vineyard that reveals aromas of white fruit and flowers. The richness of the grapes harvested translates into a particularly crisp and energetic wine, highlighting the appellation's more modern profile. The Torrai '18 is also delicious, a substantive and mature Cabernet.
