The vineyard of Castello di Meleto is composed of five main plotsMeleto, Casi, Poggiarso, San Piero, and Miciall located in the Gaiole in Chianti winemaking district. These plots provide the basis for a portfolio in which Chianti Classico takes center stage. The estate's wines have made a decisive qualitative leap, reaching the heights of excellence by expressing the gaiolese sangiovese grape in all its most intriguing qualities: aromatic finesse and freshness alongside notable depth of flavor. The Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Poggiarso '19 yields mature, fruity aromas refreshed by floral touches, accompanied by hints of undergrowth and spices. In the mouth, the palate is at times exuberant, developing full and flavorful, all topped off by a minty finish. The Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Casi '19 is only slightly more cropped in its tannins, with airy, well-focused aromas. The rest of their wines all exhibit a high overall level of quality.
