The history of Tenuta di Corbara dates back centuries. Acquired by Banca Romana in the late 19th century, it was purchased by the Patrizi family in 1997, who established the current brand. The estate features vineyards on varied soils, primarily growing traditional varieties, with a focus on reds. On the white wine front, the winery owns several hectares within the Orvieto appellation, where it cultivates a unique clone of grechetto, identified through mass selection. This year they presented a highly respectable range, with some wines standing out for their pleasantness and elegance. Primarily, the Orvieto Classico Piana Grande '22, with its beautiful spicy sensations paving the way for aromas of candied lemon peel and white flowers. The palate also surprises with its freshness and a final touch of sapidity. Among the reds, we appreciated the Podere Il Caio '22 (fresh, young and juicy). The Rosato Maria Grazia '22 is simple but well crafted.
