Review

The arrival of Antonio and Lamberto Cesari alongside their father, Stefano, has brought new life and a desire to face new challenges. Having consolidated their Amarone, which is divided into vineyards that cover the entire appellation, great attention is now dedicated to Valpolicella Superiore, the typology that, more than any other, expresses a bond with the vineyard of origin. It also does the best job interpreting the aromatic and gustatory potential of the territory’s historic grapes. The proposed range is dedicated entirely to the area’s traditional wines. The Valpolicella Case Vecie ’19 offers up a vibrant note of ripe wild fruit accompanied by blackberry intertwined with notes of mint and thyme. In the mouth the character of Corvina and Corvinone, wrought of sapidity and suppleness, emerges manifestly, bringing both fullness and lightness to the palate. When it comes to their Amarones, the Classico ’16 put in an excellent performance. It’s a wine with fresh aromas, underlined by flawless fruit that emerges even more clearly on a juicy, taut palate. What’s more, Brigaldara earns our Sustainability Award for their commitment
