In 2013, Beppe Accomo and Claudia Castella joined forces, uniting Bricco Maiolica and Castella and embarking on a shared journey that has led to new wines and the continued the legacy of the Casa Castella agritourism. The group takes pride in their vineyard work, crafting wine that is simultaneously modern in style and rich in identity. Alongside their historic Dolcetto di Diano d'Alba, they also produce Barolo, barbera, nebbiolo, pinot noir, and chardonnay-based wines. The Barolo del Comune di Diano d'Alba Contadin 19 manifests great intensity, combining tobacco, roses, and red fruit notes. The palate is powerful, harmonious, and rich, adorned with close-knit tannins, and well sustained by a brackish sapidity in its long finish. Yet, the standout in the lineup is the Cumot, intense and harmonious, exuding great complexity from tobacco to licorice, passing through a fragrant hint of raspberry. There's also significant character and balance on the palate, where the wine proves pervasive, austere, and lingering. The intriguing Chardonnay Pensiero Infinito 19 also delivers.
