Brandini rises up prominently in the outskirts of Barolo. Looking towards Monviso, you can see not only rows of vineyards but also woods, meadows and hazelnut groves across a landscape rich in biodiversity. So it is that Giovanna and Serena's ecological sensitivity has found a way to express itself in the management of vineyards (which are accompanied by delightful rural accommodations). The property acquired by their father, Piero Bagnasco, in 2007 is also expanding rapidly, with new vineyards and, consequently, new wines, ranging from Monforte d'Alba to Dogliani, Serralunga d'Alba and Alta Langa. The Barolo R56 '17 is destined for a splendid future. It's already open on elegant floral and spicy notes, while in the mouth it still shows a slight astringency due to tannins. Even more bursting aromas feature in the Barolo Cerretta '17 (aniseed, raspberry, licorice, medicinal herbs) while a delicious, velvety body envelopes its long palate. We also appreciated the sapid Barolo del comune di La Morra '17, a decisive and penetrating wine.
