We fondly recall the first sustainability meetings organized by this historic Franciacorta producerit's been over 20 yearsa true pioneer in organic practices and vineyard diversity. Barone Pizzini, established in 1870 by an aristocratic Trentino family, was acquired by Silvano Brescianini and partners in 1992, resulting in one of Franciacorta's most dynamic producers. The group also owns Pievalta in Le Marche and Ghiaccioforte in Tuscany. The Bagnadore continues to prove its salt. The 2016 displays a measured pace, weaving an intense tapestry of spicy notes, chalk, citrus, and freshly opened yeast. There's total harmony, a gentle fizz leading to a long finale. The Franciacorta Rosé is improving well: the 2019 possesses delicate hints of mandarin and raspberry, rich in juice, maturity, and freshness. The Nature '19 is particularly intriguing stylistically. It's evolving well, revealing complexity in its profile of Asian spices and its deep, sapid texture.
