There is all the teasing, cheerful and festive spirit of Massimo Bottura––the most celebrated Italian chef in Italy thanks to his Osteria Francescana––behind this restaurant on the ground floor of the W Dubai – The Palm Hotel. The keys have been handed to one of Massimo’s most trusted and talented chefs, Bernardo Paladini, a young Roman chef, and a super-tested brigade that works on sight. The themes are inspired by the maritime Italy of the 60s, pastel colours, there is the beach, the gelato cart, vintage postcards hanging from the ceiling. During our visit we especially enjoyed the welcome panzanella, the creative Modean Salad, the super classic tagliatelle with meat sauce, rich, generous and delicious, the quality of the meat (cheek, tail and beef tongue cut and slow-cooked separately) make the difference. The risotto with raw and cooked crustaceans was a little less centered and balanced. In closing, an excellent tiramisu greatly lightened in flavours. Young and cheerful service. There is also space for gourmet pizza. To drink perfectly blended cocktails and a very limited selection of wines. A truly fun dining experience.
