A quality eatery in the heart of Bordeaux seating no more than twenty guests. Vintage chairs and wooden tables help create the warm, salon-like vibe. The couple Johanna and Giovanni Pidreddu work in perfect unison in the kitchen rendering a fine and never boring top cuisine. The chef’s welcome are delightful, including the exquisite black pudding macarons, or the spaghetti with butter, caviar and wedge clams. The meats are equally sublime. Dishes are sophisticated and vibrant and betray phenomenal character, flavour and presentation. The genuine cuisine is paired with a beautiful wine list designed by Johanna, featuring many small Italian wine producers who work in healthy fashion to make fine wines that perfectly work with the cuisine. Monday to Saturday the lunch menu is a steal.
