Just twenty minutes from the center of Hobart, capital of amazing Tasmania, following the course of the Derwent River, Osteria di Stefano Ljubljana, whose origins are betrayed by the name, is a must stop. Everything here is simply beautiful. Leaving aside the surrounding landscape, the view of the river, the vineyard, already the low and long sand-coloured building and the patio covered by a canopy of vines and canvas drapes, with aromatic and wild plants all around alone is worth the visit. Then there are the wines, among the most interesting of the island. And a cuisine that is inspired by the farms of Northern Italy, as the menu explains, with locally produced ingredients, according to the rules of biodynamic agriculture. The menu changes daily, supplied by the vegetable garden, the farmstead, the fish market. The dishes are listed in Italian and everything is top-notch. The handmade ceramic tableware is so beautiful that you want to take it home with you.
