Feeling home a world away. Straight to the point: this is our favorite Italian bistrot in town. Modena born chef Marco Carboni have traveled a lot before opening in 2017 this lovely restaurant in one of the most charming and relaxing areas of Mexico City, closed to Plaza Rio de Janeiro, in the beautiful Colonia Roma district. The focus is on homemade pastas. Start with a gnocco fritto (with prosciutto di Parma, parmigiano and aceto Balsamico di Modena) and then go for some generous green tortelli with butter and sage. During our last visit we also had a good and al dente risotto with black truffle. The quality of ingredient is high and so the wine list which displays a focus on native Italian grapes and some very interesting natural labels. You will feel like in a genuine Italian “Trattoria”, informal atmosphere that helps you to really enjoy eating and drinking. Don’t forget to book a sunny outside table. The sorroundings are simply relaxing. Before of after dinner cross the street and enjoy the cozy Bottega bar opened one year ago.
