In the football realm there are few number 10 jerseys that have left a mark and that will remain indelible forever. Among these there are a few who also try their hand in the restaurant world. We are talking about Alex del Piero, an undisputed champion who for some time now has been experimenting with pasta, pizza, fish and meat, through two places, one in Milan, the other in Los Angeles. In the latter, the American ambiance is well-appointed: dim lights, good music, a long bar counter. The works. The menu offer focuses on a few dishes (all very well-made) that summarize the Italian tradition. To start you can opt for a pizza to share (the “Regina Margherita” is fragrant and well prepared), choose a selection of cured meats and cheeses or choose appetizers such as fritto misto (assorted fried food) or panzerotto. Among pasta courses, both the tagliatelle with Neapolitan ragù and the Milanese risotto with ossobuco are quite welcoming. Mains include selected meats or a fine grilled branzino. Very well structured wine list, which ranges between Italian and local wines and tries to represent all the best appellations.
