Is it possible to be on the Atlantic and still evoke the Mediterranean? In the kitchen, yes, once you cross the Gattopardo threshold. In fact, the Italian "mare nostrum" is the inspiration behind the menu proposed on the tables set on the beautiful terrace of the Dom Pedro hotel. Sicilian-style prawns and orange salad citronette with black olive pulp; spaghetti with black cuttlefish ink, and since we are in Portugal, we had to try cod and therefore a successful island version served in the oven baked with potatoes, peppers, olives and caper fruits, lemon sorbet to finish the virtual journey.
