The beginning was in Shettleston 40 years ago, with the opening of the first deli. Then came the decision to bring those flavours to Glasgow west end, with the opening in 2015. There is always a valid reason to come here, from espresso to arancini, but the focus is all on fresh homemade pasta. We recommend the pumpkin and ricotta agnolotti with brown butter and sage, the lasagna of the day before and the Ox cheek del plin. The Roman pinsa is fragrant, well leavened and digestible. Leave room for dessert, starting with tiramisu. All simple, straight to the point and satisfying. Small but reasoned wine list permeated with Italy.
