Already the protagonist of the success of the Solare restaurant in the city, Accursio Lota is a talented chef that has brought to San Diego the flavorful taste of Italian recpes. Since the beginning of January he has opened his own business with a new format that focuses strongly on homemade pasta and recipes that combine the chef's Sicilian background with the freshness of local ingredients. From the menu we highly recommend the fritters with cacio e pepe, or the meatballs with tomato sauce, followed by the Tortelli alla zucca: ravioli filled with Kabocha squash, lamb sausage and Mostarda di Cremona and served with butter, sage and crispy pancetta. We suggest the cacio and pepe pasta with caviar too and the traditional Lasagna. Good drinking at fair prices, with a small but very reasoned selection of labels of Italian vignerons, with great attention to lesser known native grape varieties and biodynamic producers.
