Ciak

Situated just a stone's throw from the Basilica dei Frari (in Campiello San Tomà), Ciak is frequented by Venetians (including many loyal gondoliers) and passersby for the food and drink, but also for the pleasantness of the outdoor dining area, which enjoys the shade of the neighboring church. The recently renovated interiors shine a light on the bright counter that displays their foods, from baked goods for breakfast to savory snacks like sandwiches (panini and tramezzini) and "crostoni". Their well-made coffee, fragrant and rich, comes from fine Arabica blends. At lunch they offer a contemporary assortment of foods, like salads and focaccia, but also traditional dishes such as sardines in saor, meatballs, or cod and "folpetti" (Venetian for octopus). Many foods are also offered as appetizing "cicchetti" to accompany an aperitif, choosing from a nice selection of wines,bubbles, beers and the obligatory Spritz.
