Caffè Cavour

The veranda in Piazza Cavour, already quite popular (especially at aperitif time) with Paduans and tourists, is now even more welcoming, thanks to a recent restyling of the furnishings (the first-floor dining area is also pleasant). The food on offer is just as good. At breakfast you can enjoy pastries authored by Luigi Biasetto, including fragrant baked goods, a rich assortment of macarons, and single-serving treats, like the Setteveli, that have become an icon of the Paduan master. And the procession continues throughout the day, with modern-style mini pastries, cream puffs, cannoncini, tartlets and, during the Carnival period, delicious fried dough. An equally generous assortment of gastronomic snacks and inventions features during aperitif time, with Spritz and cocktails accompanied by canapés, creamed cod and fried meatballs. During lunch, they offer tramezzini sandwiches as well as some cold and hot dishes. There's also Cavour Ricevimenti, which continues to offer banqueting and catering services.
