It’s not easy to propose Italian haute cuisine in a context of luxury and gambling like in Macau. But in the dishes of chef Antimo Maria Merone we found lots of character, soul and extraordinarily incisive flavours, as very rarely happens in this part of the world. Meals can start with a tartare from Oberto Butcher Shop, but it’s the pastas that fly the highest. We tried the spaghettoni with exceptional bottarga, we also highly recommend the fettuccine with Sicilian red prawns and coral emulsion, or the very successful Gentile spaghetti with Norwegian king crab, basil and Amalfi lemon. Excellent meal endings with a large trolley of fine Italian cheeses. The olive oil list is remarkable, the wine list is fantastic for its breadth and simply extraordinary, with brilliant choices for every region and nation. Excellent service, warm and welcoming, completes the experience.
