Venanzio Vannucci is among those best equipped to promote Colonnata lard outside the national frontiers (he is the owner of the “Conca dei Cain” marble block, the oldest in existence). The company was created in 2000 with the aim of producing and selling the famous product of heavy pigs from farms in Emilia and Lombardy. Entirely hand-processed, it is flavoured with garlic, pepper and spices, and aged in hollowed marble blocks in old rooms.
