The name is an acronym from the initials of the two owners, Silvano Buccolini, agricultural adviser and oil taster, and his wife Giuliana Papa. In 1996 they began processing prime ingredients, including forgotten fruit varieties, using time-honoured methods and recipes, with remarkable results. The range of products includes fruit (some quite special like quince and sapa) and vegetable jams; vegetables in oil; jellies; fruit in syrup; wine and sour cherries; wine and jujubes; and delicious bottled sour cherries; sapa.
