The Merano-based Pfitscher was once a small business specializing in speck, but is now a large, avant-garde company. It has expanded its range of specialities, but retains its strong links with South Tyrol tradition. Production capacity is now able that to meet export demands, with speck still the flagship, available in a number of versions, with and without IGP status, along with frankfurters in around 20 flavours, Bologna sausage, kaminwurzen and game salami. Cutting-edge technology here, and gluten- and dairy-free products.
