Milkon Alto Adige is a dairy cooperative, founded in 1997 by merging Mila, the Latteria Sociale di Brunico (Senni), and the Südtiroler Bergziegenmilch cooperatives. Milkon has two production facilities equipped with cutting-edge technologies, each specializing in different types of dairy products. Brunico makes cheeses, both fresh and ripe, including PDO Stelvio; cream; yogurt and mascarpone. Dairy products are crafted with fresh milk brought daily from the mountain farms of Alto Adige, including a lactose-free line and a goat milk type. The merger of the Mila and Senni cooperatives in 2013 forged the Latte Montagna Alto Adige (ex Milkon) cooperative.
