For more than a century (their 100-year anniversary was celebrated in 2017), Egidio Cioli, now on its fourth generation of family, has been synonymous with Ariccia PGI porchetta, a traditional specialty of the Castelli Romani, just south of the Roman capital (they also offer the ‘tronchetto’ version). Their pork, which is Italian, is supplied by guaranteed butchers, and cooked dry in ventilated, electric ovens. Cioli also produces other pork products, both cooked (like roast pork shank), and cured (copiette, pancetta, guanciale, salamini sticks, salamelle ariccine and prosciutto).
