Since the early 1960s, the Stella family have lovingly managed their bakery. Leavening is done slowly, using a natural yeast starter, organic sugar, select flours, fresh eggs and quality ingredients. Combined with tried and true methods of preparation, the resulting sweets and savory snacks are exquisite. Featured products include shortbread biscotti, canestrelli, krumiri, ‘zaeti’, baci di dama, almond cantucci, brutti e buoni. But there’s more waiting in the wings: grissini breadsticks (available in a ‘classic’ variety, as well as kamut and whole wheat), and ‘cioppini’ biscuits (perfect with a drink). There are also tarts, sbrisolona and ‘fugassa’ cakes.
