Established more than 30 years ago by Massimo Azzolini and Monica Ciarfuglia (who are still managing the company), Asiago Food got its start on the Asiago plateau, but later moved down to the plains below it. Today the group are a force to be reckoned with in the Italian food sector. All their fruits and vegetables are frozen and dried within a few hours of harvest. Not only does this protect the quality and freshness of their products, it guarantees that the nutritional properties, flavor, color and texture remain completely intact. An organic line of frozen foods are also available. This includes pitted cherries, berry smoothies, ready-made dishes, as well as vegetarian and vegan dishes (vegetable hamburgers, vegetable and bean purées). They also offer a range of dried mushrooms (porcini mushrooms make up the lion share), in various cuts and shapes. Also here, an organic line is available.
