Antica Macelleria Falorni

Antica Macelleria Falorni have been growing since 1806 and across nine successive generations. Under brothers Lorenzo and Stefano Bencistà there’s been an increase in the quantity and variety of products offered. Pork, wild boar and beef are offered, all from select areas and slaughtered on site. Falorni operates on multiple levels. There’s their fresh products and then there’s their cured meats, a particularly important sector for them. They offer an array of classic pork charcuterie: salamis (from traditional Greve in Chianti varieties to Chianti Classico, ‘magro montanaro’, white truffle, porcini mushrooms and spicy versions), sweet and ‘casalingo’, rigatino, fillets (or ‘filzetta’), gota, capocollo, pancetta, finocchiata and lard. Then there’s their cinta senese pork products (guanciale, salamis, prosciutto), boar and organic products, bresaola, speciality cooked pork (soprassata, porchetta, galantina, ham, mortadella), and their seasoned meat sauces. Their shop can be found in Piazza Matteotti in Greve.
