Ever since it was purchased by Antonio Morelli in 1846 (for 100 scudi), Podere Il Montaleo has been in the hands of the same family, now represented by Cesare Diddi Mussi. The 30-hectare estate is almost entirely olive groves, making for 6,000 trees in all.
