Review

Emilio Montuori runs an estate of around 100 hectares, with six given over to olives. The firm has 2,200 trees, whose drupes are processed in the family’s own oil mill together with olives from reliable local organic producers. We are in the area between the Villamaiana and Torella dei Lombardi hills, a short distance from the sulphurous crater in Valle dell’Ansanto, cited by Virgil in his Aeneid, indicated as one of the “gates of Hell”.
