Founded by the Buonamici family in 1991, this firm is still headed by Cesare, assisted by his sister Cesara when she has time. They have shown their commitment to the environment with a number of choices made over the years and in 1995 they decided to apply organic methods to their 26,000 olive trees. They have installed biomass heating system fuelled by olive stones to help with energy saving. Olives are pressed with the mill's own equipment specifically for organically grown olives. As well as being known for its oil, Buonamici also produces EVO-based cosmetics.
