Badia a Coltibuono is an institution for Chianti Classico, producing subtle, knife-edged wines that defy time. But they also produce EVOO from their own olive trees, organically farmed as the estate's philosophy dictates. The woods surrounding the vineyards and olive groves are a habitat of significant biodiversity. The estate's head office is in an old Vallombroso monastery, dating back to 1049, in a beautiful location open to the public, and including a restaurant.
