Veronesi

Description

Veronesi was founded in 1958 with the building of a fodder plant in Quinto di Valpantena (VR) by Apollinare Veronesi. It was the continuation of a long family tradition, one harking back to the 16th century, in milling grains. Today Veronesi is Italy's fourth largest food producer in terms of turnover and the largest national group with a complete supply-chain that's 100% 'Made in Italy'. The company, now on its third generation of Veronesi family, own more than 23 processing plants throughout the country and are at the forefront when it comes to technological innovation. There are three divisions: agro-animal and the production of Veronesi fodder; meat production (especially poultry) under the name Aia, a brand founded in 1968 and today a European leader in the industry, as well as Italy's largest national marketer of eggs; and a charcuterie business with the Montorsi brand (acquired in 1985) and Negroni (a historic Italian brand that became part of the group in 2002).
