Vergnano

Description

The trademark shows 1882 as the year in which the adventure began. Domenico Vergnano opened a small grocery store in Chieri, a small town at the foot of the Turin hills. In just a few years it developed into coffee roasting and sales, with considerable success. The business grew with the first three warehouses in Turin, Alba and Chieri, but the real quantum leap took place in the 1930s, with the purchase of a coffee farm in Kenya. Today, after earning space on the international overview with exports to 60 countries, Vergnano promotes coffee culture through the Coffee Shop 1882 project, a network of Italian-style cafés around the world. Their commitment to the environment shows in the Cialde line of coffee pods of low environmental impact.
