This agricultural producer got its start in 1885 with a hectare of land and a cow. Then came the move from Brescia to Cremona, a turning point in terms of quality in 1970 and finally the birth of the trademarked Maiale Tranquillo brand in 2010. It's the conclusion of a journey founded on quality, as well as a visionary approach: raise pigs for two years outdoors (without pushing their natural limits), slaughter only when they've reached 300 kilos, age prosciutto for more than five years and produce various high-quality salamis, from extra-large coppa to lard and cotechino.
