Riomare

Description

It was the 1960s, with a boom in the economy and a fashion for modern things, also at the table. Rio Mare hit the bull's-eye by meeting the new Italian demands. Starting with the famous pink tin, which was to become an icon for tuna in oil, tuna so tender it can be cut with a breadstick. In the 1970s the brand was well-established in Italy and began to make its name abroad. Then it was followed by tuna in brine and in EVO, alongside its famous salads. In the 1990s these were joined by salmon and mackerel (today also grilled) and in the Noughties, by hand-prepared, pressure-cooked tuna filets. The range of products includes pasta sauces and tuna with pulses or vegetables. Rio Mare is part of the Bolton group.
