Montebovi is a confectionary founded in Rome, in 1960, thanks to the intuition and entrepreneurial spirit of Bernardino Montebovi. After learning the ropes in a local bakery, he decided to go it alone and offer products under his own name. Over 50 years this family-run business has become a major producer in the sector, a holding of the Italian Montebovi Group Spa specialized in the production of baked goods, whose administrative headquarters are still situated in Rome, while production takes place in Carmagnola, at the Bisconova biscuit factory purchased in 2002 (which also works under its own brand). They make and distribute more than 400 products across Italy and abroad, including breakfast biscuits and sweets, snacks and snacks for children, fruit tarts, cakes and donuts, bread substitutes and service products like beignets, Sicilian cannoli and pie crusts. Their assortment of traditional Italian biscotti is particularly wide, from classic shortbread to soft ladyfingers and crumbly canestrelli.
