Icam

Description

A sweet tale that began in 1942, with Silvio Agostoni's bakery in Morbegno, producing confectionery. A war was on, so just a little sugar, mixed with chestnut flour, a hint of cocoa, and the Torta Montanina saw the light. An immediate success. In 1946 the founder procured equipment for refining sugar and his own machinery for processing cocoa. Then he began to produce Dolcao cream and moved to Lecco. In 1967, Icam opened another plant. When oldest son Angelo took over management he established direct relationships with cocoa producers in Africa and Latin America. The exquisite hazelnut praline Blue Rose was launched in 1985. In 1997 an organic chocolate product came to the market. The new production hub at Orsenigo was opened in 2008, and in 2014 the Vanini line of certified, gluten-free, kosher organic Italian chocolate was presented. Today total control of the production chain is a guarantee of a complete range of chocolate made in Italy and known worldwide, including chocolate patisserie, sweets and a professional line.
