Fratelli D'Acunzi

Description

Thanks to its modern facility and its reputation for safety and environmentally-friendly practices, this family-run business has become one of the most important producers in the region. The D'Acunzi family (brothers Filippo, Giovanni and Pasquale and sister Raffaella) make sure that every stage of production is subject to careful controls, from harvest, which is timed to guarantee ripeness, to packaging and labeling. D'Acunzi manage two brands: La Carmela and Orto d'Oro. The former includes peeled San Marzano tomatoes, canned/bottled fruits and vegetables (peppers and mushrooms) and legumes (various types of beans, lentils, chickpeas and peas). They also have cooked grain for 'la pastiera', a traditional sweet in Campania. Orto d'Oro comprises tomatoes in various forms (peeled, finely chopped, concentrate, double concentrate, purée) and peach purée.
