Here in northern Lazio the area is perfect for cultivation of Tonda Gentile Romana hazelnuts and, in 1998, the De Angelis family began to produce spreads using this nut and ingredients provided by organic farming. Over time, the company has specialized in the production of spreads in general, especially for consumers with gluten and lactose intolerance. Apart from hazelnut, there are also peanut, almond, pumpkin seed, sunflower seed, and even light and dark tahini, made from sesame seeds.
