Castelluccio lentils, grown on the eponymous plain, in the Monti Sibillini National Park at 1500 metres in altitude, were awarded PGI in 1997. The cooperative was founded with the aim of protecting the consumer by offering a quality product, cultivated without the use of chemicals. These tiny pulses are delicious, with high nutritional value and cook fast without soaking in advance. The cooperative also sells beans, chickpeas, peas, grass peas, pearl barley, spelt, cereal and pulse soup mixes, spelt waffles and puffed spelt.
