Cascina Pizzavacca is famous for its bottled vegetables, packed in thick glass jars only to be sold in gourmet shops and used by top chefs. And their specialty vegetables aren't just local, they're literally cultivated on-site at their 19th-century farmstead in Bassa Piacentina (not far from the Po river) by the Pisaroni family, who've overseen the operation for generations. But all their products are in-house and excellent: vegetables in oil and vinegar, sauces and vegetable creams, tomato sauces, fruit preserves and outstanding fruit juices (available in 20 different flavors).
