Founded in 1654, this is the only company producing canned Mediterranean bluefin tuna in olive oil, fished according to the traditional "mattanza" system. The cans contain only bluefin caught in the Sardinian traps at Carloforte, Portoscuso and Porto Paglia. Ligure Sarda thus vaunts not only experience but also tradition, at the top of its league not only for tuna in olive oil (fleshy parts) and the typical filet cut (leaner part), but also for proposes the classic belly and lower belly in oil.
