Founded in 1942 by Ottorino Ambrosi as a simple, family-run business, today Ambrosi is an international powerhouse. Over the years they have bought up other producers for the purposes of increasing and expanding their presence, including Migali and Bertozzi, both of which are located outside the region. Thanks to the quality of its products, its certifiability, and its distribution network, Ambrosi has become a leader when it comes to high-end, traditional Italian cheeses, focusing on Parmigiano Reggiano and Grana Padano. Part of its success lies in having established close ties with its suppliers, and guaranteeing that the environments, techniques and sources used all correspond to their high standards of authenticity and health. Their main product line includes Pecorino Romano, Provolone, Gorgonzola, Asiago, Taleggio, Fontina and Montasio. There are plenty of organic and fresh dairy products available as well.
