Despite the success that has swept the world of Prosecco, Graziano Merotto hasn't changed his way of doing things. He's guided, as always, by a rural, folk wisdom that prefers substance to form. A sizeable set of vineyards unfolds across some of the best positions in the area, while a recently expanded cellar allows the producer to respect the time required by each process. And then there's the conscientious that only a bond with the land can guarantee. The latest investment concerns the renovation of a farmhouse that has become a sales point. The Graziano Merotto '20 once again proves that it's one of best Valdobbiadene Bruts out there. Elegant aromas of golden apple and flowers rise up out of the glass, but it finds its pleasantness in the sapidity and creaminess of its bubbles. The Castè '20 is also excellent, broader and more immediate in its aromas, characterized by a juicy palate. Finally, we also appreciated the new, fragrant Pinot Bianco B. Giussin '20.
