Description

This small shop, long a bedrock of quality pastries in Verona, is situated just outside the center. The assortment on offer is rich, the result of wisdom in the art of the pastry and attention to the ingredients used. Delectable cream croissants and chocolate fazzoletti are accompanied by exquisite risini, a few of the "sweet" reasons why the counter is always so crowded in the early hours of the morning. But their petit fours (another strong point) also deserve a taste, especially the fruit or chocolate cestini, where the quality of the pastry emerges. Among their many memorable cakes the Eclisse stands out (raspberry cream and crumbly chocolate pearls between two layers of white chocolate cream, chocolate and orange mousse), as does the excellent Petit Fleurs (filled with almond cream and covered with almond paste). The bar remains high when it comes to their Italian holiday classics, above all the Nadalin and pandoro, but don't overlook their fried dough, zeppole and galani, all made with skill. Interesting chocolate creations, from cremini to pralines (salted caramel, pecan nut, tiramisu, Grand Marnier or raspberry and lychee). The only limitation is the scarcity of seats (just a couple of tables).
