This is the den of chef Andrea Volpe in the elegant Woodstock area, just behind Table Mountain. Wooden tables, wide windows and vintage furniture pieces, touches of colour inspired by the sea, and lots of seafood on the menu. Meals open with tapas for the table: octopus and potato salad, marinated anchovies, and peppery mussel stew. Plus seafood carpaccios, and Italian classics such as spaghetti allo scoglio and grilled calamari, and the fresh catch of the day that can be fire grilled or cooked Sicilian style, with tomatoes and capers. Meals end with tiramisu or sgroppino (lemon sorbet drowned in vodka).
