Li Veli

A fresh breath of Puglia in London. After 40 years of experience in Tuscany, the Falvo family moved to Puglia in 1999 when they decided to buy and renovate Masseria Li Veli. Later on the Falvo family decied to open this cozy wine bar and bistrot in Covent Garden. Get ready to approach native grapes such as sussumaniello, verdeca, negroamaro, malvasia nera and much more. The wine list covers most of the regions of Italy with smart prices and a good selection available by the glass. The menu displays regional food specialties such as orecchiette pasta or bombette pork rolls with caciocavallo cheese and mushrooms, or the polpo in pignata (stewed octopus). Our suggestion? Try the Askos Verdeca, a fragrant white with redolent of Mediterranean herbs and citrus; on the palate it comes through very savory and succulent. This is a one way ticket to Puglia.
